Investment objective: The STAY-C Strategy is a long only actively managed futures strategy, which aims to participate in the performance of the global commodities markets.
An active commodity strategy mainly based on innovative mathematical algorithms.
The strategy reflects the performance of selected commodities futures and takes advantage of the characteristic features of commodities such as the low correlation between them. The trading strategy is systematic (rule-based) and thus combines objectivity with the expertise of the fund manager.
The strong track record is based on two components:
- Protection of invested capital through staggered disinvestment in difficult market conditions
- Outperformance through targeted selection of commodities that exhibit strong momentum.
Each commodity is selected individually. To be considered for STAY-C, a commodity must meet strict criteria such as positive momentum over different time periods.
The current investment universe consists of 24 commodities:
Aluminum, Cocoa, Coffee, Copper, Corn, Cotton, Gas Oil, Gold, Heating Oil, Lead, Lean Hogs, Live Cattle, Natural Gas, Nickel, Platinum, Silver, Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Soybeans, Sugar, Unleaded Gasoline, Wheat, WTI Crude Oil, Zinc.
The STAY-C commodities strategy can be implemented flexibly in a variety of legal ways, including publicly investable fund structures. Currency risk hedging is possible and is customarily used. Special adaptations taking specific customer requirements into account (e.g. with respect to the exposure) can be very easily implemented as well.
To address the wishes of more and more retail and also institutional investors for a safe and promising alternative to stocks and bonds, gold can be used as collateral instead of short-term government bonds.
"Stay-C with gold as collateral" can also be seen as "physical gold with an active commodity overlay". This combination offers investors the opportunity to diversify in several commodities while still having the underlying security of physical gold.
